Give your agent a domain expert to call.

Three domains live. More on the way.

DEX is short for domain experts. Each pack is one expert's curated corpus served over MCP. Every answer carries a checkable citation and chunk key. When a pack can't cite, it refuses, and refusals are free.

Private beta. Onboarded in small batches.

Cited or free

Every answer returns with a citation and chunk key to the primary source. If the sources can't back an answer, the pack refuses and refusals cost nothing.

WHERE YOUR QUERIES GO

Your agent's queries go to the pack server, which retrieves from the corpus and generates the answer through Anthropic's API. We log queries, retrieved chunks, and answers to debug retrieval and run evals. We don't use your data to train models and we don't sell or share it.

TESTED CLIENT

Works with Claude Code. MCP is an open protocol; other clients are untested until we say otherwise. Beta batches are onboarded by hand, so bring the client you actually use.

FREE DURING PRIVATE BETA

Pricing

Everything is free during the beta. When metering turns on, this is the entire price list.

  • Citation and chunk key on every answer
  • No subscriptions, no seats
  • Refusals are free, always

Premium INCLUDES MPEP

$0.10 / cited answer

  • Covers regulated, high-stakes domains
  • Citation and chunk key on every answer

These are launch prices. During the private beta everything is free while we tune the packs. No subscriptions, no seats, no charge for refusals. Premium covers regulated, high-stakes domains where a wrong answer costs real money. We run the server and meter every answer today; billing and payouts turn on when the beta ends.

Reserve a founding seat: $5 when billing turns on, $0 today, no card.

Founding rate locked = today's $0.02 / $0.10 per-cited-answer rates, held for founding seats when billing turns on.

SELL YOUR EXPERTISE

80%

Founding-creator share, locked in writing.

Bring what you know: procedures, standards, transcripts, case notes. DEX turns it into an expert that agents can call and pay, with citations built in. Founding creators lock in an 80% revenue share, in writing, before the marketplace opens.

  • We run the MCP server. Same day: our pipeline takes a raw folder to a live pack. You review, then publish.
  • We meter and bill. $0 to list. You earn when your pack answers; earnings start when billing turns on.
  • Cite-or-refuse guardrails protect your name. Your pack refuses rather than improvising over your corpus.

FROM THE FOUNDER

DEX is built by one founder. There are no users yet and no reviews yet, so this page shows you neither. What it shows instead: nine recorded sessions, an 18-question live eval where all 3 trap questions were refused at $0, and a dated build log. Every exchange in the console is a real recorded session. FAQ

refusals always $0.00

How do I know an answer is trustworthy?

Packs only answer from retrieved passages that clear an evidence threshold. Below it, the server returns a structured refusal instead of a completion. Every answer carries its source citation and chunk key, so you or your agent can check it against the source.

Why not just ask the model directly?

A frontier model answers your patent question either way, fluently, whether or not it actually knows. You cannot tell those two answers apart. A DEX pack answers only from a vetted expert source and hands you the citation. When the source is not there, it refuses instead of improvising. Use the model for reasoning; use a pack for facts you have to get right.

How is this different from the search tools my agent already has?

Search brings back whatever the web says, and your agent still has to decide what to trust. A pack is a single vetted corpus for one domain, with an evidence threshold and a refusal mode. It is narrower on purpose: it covers less and is wrong less.

What exactly is a pack?

One expert's knowledge base, versioned and served as an MCP endpoint your agent can call. It answers with citations, or it refuses.

Who curates the packs?

All three launch packs were curated by the founder from public primary sources. No outside expert, and no source organization, built or endorsed them. Founding creators will be the first outside experts on DEX.

What packs are coming next?

Tax (IRS publications), Immigration (USCIS policy manual), Aviation (FAA regulations), Securities (SEC rules and guidance), Workplace safety (OSHA standards), and Environmental (EPA regulations). Every future pack keeps the same clean-room standard as the MPEP pack: a public primary source is required.

What do creators earn?

Founding creators lock in an 80% revenue share, in writing, before the marketplace opens. $0 to list. You earn when your pack answers; earnings start when billing turns on.

Is my data used for training?

Your agent's queries go to the pack server, which retrieves from the corpus and generates the answer through Anthropic's API. We log queries, retrieved chunks, and answers to debug retrieval and run evals. We don't use your data to train models and we don't sell or share it.

Why do answers take around ten seconds?

Each answer runs retrieval over the corpus, an evidence check, and a citation pass before anything comes back. Refusals return faster, usually four to five seconds, and cost nothing. The tradeoff is the point: slower than a raw completion, but checkable.

Do I need an account to try it?

The console replays real recorded sessions: questions, answers, citations, latencies, and prices exactly as the live packs returned them on 2026-07-07. No sign-in is needed to inspect those. To run your own queries you need a beta API key. Join the list below.

Why not just build this RAG myself?

You could. You'd spend weeks curating sources, tuning chunking and retrieval, and deciding when to refuse, and then you'd maintain all of it. A pack is that work already done, for two cents a question.

Is the Patent pack legal advice?

No. It is retrieval over the public-record MPEP with citations: examiner procedure, not attorney advice.
